De Meetjeslandse thrashband Primal Creation mag ons land vertegenwoordigen op Wacken Open Air. In de spannende finale van de Wacken Battle in zaal Volkskring in Kruisem haalde Primal Creation het nipt van folkmetalband Cathubodua. De andere bands in de finale waren Hunter, When Plagues Collide, The Curse Of Millhaven, Insomnia, Stand For en Hudic.

Samen met Wiegedood zijn die van Primal Creation de enige Belgische band in Wacken. De headliners zijn Slayer, Sabaton, Demons & Wizards en Parkway Drive. De eerdere winnaars van de Belgische Wacken Battle zijn o.m. Behind Bars, Powerstroke, Speed Queen, Trouble Agency, Carrion en Evil Invaders.

De pre-selecties van Wacken Metal Battle 2019 zijn achter de rug. Onderstaande acht finalisten zullen onder elkaar uitmaken wie deze zomer ons land vertegenwoordigt op Wacken Open Air. Wees er zeker bij op de finale van Wacken Metal Battle (zaterdag 25 mei in zaal Volkskring in Zingem) het is de moeite waard. They are even better than you think!

PS: Ondertussen is Wacken 2019 uitverkocht ... maar dat is geen probleem. Wij hebben tickets. Reserveer tijdig je busplek en ticket via ons.
