As We Speak is a powerhouse metalcore band from Belgium and the Netherlands, known for fusing classic metal influences with modern hardcore intensity. After their acclaimed debut Between Words and Sounds and EP A Call to Deaf Ears, the band faced a turning point when founding member Niels Eggenhuizen departed just before the pandemic. With COVID halting progress, it took time to rebuild—but in 2022, new member Sebastiaan Kellens joined, sparking a reinvention of their songwriting process into a true collective effort.

In April 2024, As We Speak released their single Deathtrap, a statement of direction that paved the way for their heaviest material to date. Their upcoming EP, The Lies We Live, dives into darker emotional and psychological themes, exploring anxiety, destruction, fear, deception, and resilience. Guided by their own Gyan Klomp, the band crafted a sound that is both crushing and cathartic. From this EP the single 'Beacon' is already released.
