We would like to thank all the producers and amazing crowd for making the 7th edition of our Champion Sound Beat Battle another success! Much love to everyone who came out to support us and to all the people that followed the live stream from home.

Everyone delivered heat, but at the end of the ride, there has to be a winner. This year’s Champion is none other than FIFTY HERTZ! Congrats on the win! Much love to runner-up AUDRI and all the other participants who did a great job as well!

We would like to thank our jury members LEFTO, Amos and Rrita Jashari for doing all the tough decision making. Shout-out to DVTCH NORRIS for being the best host out there, Big up Natché for the visuals, Juliane Noll Illustration for the artwork, DJ Romi Luna for the music, We Are Various for streaming the event, Tumultimedia for capturing the evening with his camera and the OLT Rivierenhof crew for helping us out.

Following the government’s regulations, it became clear that it would no longer be an option for us to host our annual Champion Sound Beat Battle on the 4th of April. Together with our partners, we’ve been busy trying to pick a new date. This is, however, not as easy as it seems. Most of the dates for AB’s box room have already been booked until the end of the year. On top of that, we had to find a date that would work for our 16 producers, 3 judge members, MC and various live acts.

After a whole lot of puzzling, we were able to pick a new date: Sunday the 21st of June. The battle will still go on at AB, but at the venue’s club room, which has a smaller capacity. We can only hope that the situation will have stabilized until then, but it goes without saying that we will strictly follow the government’s advice. Purchased tickets will remain valid.

Thanks a lot for entering this competition. We heard a lot of cool beats, but unfortunately, we can only pick one beatmaker.
