gemak! is looking for Leuven's next electronic DJ! 16 or older? Got a mix that moves people? Submit before June 10 and claim a spot on the mainstage of our first gemak! Festival.

gemak! Festival is coming to the Philipssite on 15 August 2026, and we want to open our lineup to the next wave of Leuven talent!
We're launching a DJ contest in partnership with Café Apero - , open to anyone between 16 and 20 years old who's ready to prove they belong on a stage. Whether you're lost in House, Garage or Trance, or exploring something harder to define; if it moves a dancefloor, we’re here for it!
How it works:
Submit a DJ set between 30 and 60 minutes before June 10. Our jury, made up of gemak! members & Café Apero judges, will select finalists who go head to head on 1 August at café apero (Oude Markt), each playing a live 1-hour set. Keep 16/07 and 23/07 free as potential pre-final dates, based on the amount of submissions.
The winner earns a main stage slot at gemak! Festival on 15 August, playing from 16:00 to 17:30, under open skies, on Leuven soil…
Why? gemak! has always aimed to make local culture stronger and more connected, and this contest shows are investment in the next generation of Leuven talent!
