Jourdeau Events – known for unique early clubbing experiences at water-inspired locations, is looking for a DJ who can set the tone for our next edition on Saturday October 4th. (location Antwerp tba)
We're launching a DJ contest open to all house DJs, no matter your age or experience, as long as you bring good vibes and a deep love for house music in all its forms: Afro house, deep house, tech house, melodic house...
What are we looking for?
An opener. Someone who knows how to build a mood, not blow the roof off. This isn’t peak-time energy. It’s finesse, storytelling, and groove. You’ll be setting the tone for the night.
HOW TO ENTER?
Step 1: Online submission (Deadline: 10/09)
- Upload a minimum 30-minute set via VI.BE
- Include a short artist bio + your motivation why you need to be our opener
- We select 8 finalists
What happens next? Our jury will select the 8 best entries. These 8 DJs will be invited to perform live on Sunday, September 21 at Plug the Jack Antwerp. Each DJ will play a 30-minute set between 14:00 and 18:00. The jury (incl. Michel De Wilde from TOP2 TOPradio- will choose the top 3 DJs. The announcement of the winner will be on Monday, September 22 via our Instagram page!
All participants & friends are welcome to enjoy the contest on 21/9, support the other DJs and build our community together.

By entering, you confirm that you're available for:
- The live final on 21/09 in Plug The Jack studio's Antwerp (if selected)
- The Jourdeau event on 04/10 (if you win)
🏆 Prizes
The winner of the contest will:
- Play the 1h opening set at the next Jourdeau early clubbing event on 04/10 (artist fee 75 EUR)
- Be invited by jury member Michel De Wilde for a DJ set in his radio show SMASH! on TOP2 (TOPradio)
The top 3 DJs will also receive Plug the Jack credits for professional studio recordings.

Vergoeding: All finalists selected for the live event on 21/09 will receive: Free drinks & snacks during the final at Plug The Jack, a chance to perform in front of a professional jury and live audience. The winner of the contest will play the opening set at Jourdeau’s early clubbing event on 04/10 (artist fee 75 EUR), can bring 2 guests to the event, receives hospitality on-site and promo as part of the official line-up. The top 3 finalists also win credits at Plug The Jack. ⚠️ Important: This is not a paid gig, but a valuable opportunity for exposure, experience, and visibility in Belgium’s electronic scene.
