VI.BE

About a few years ago, two friends who had just started their dj duo (Heartlybeats) got a residency in a big club. I was offered to join once and I discover electronic music. Before that, I'd always listen to hip-hop or rock. I might have had a couple of Moderat songs on my Ipod but that'd be all.

I experienced some emotions that I had never experienced while listening to music. After a while and some more parties in various clubs, I told myself "damn, I too want to spin the decks". Few months later, I got myself a small controller, learnt the basics. An other couple of months afterwards, I had a pair of CDJ's 900 and a DJM. I spent hours alone learning how to make transitions and eventually I got the chance to play at some parties.

The experience was great and I kept progressing although I found playing on CDJ's was cool, I wanted to try vinyls. Saved some money, bought a pair of 1200's and started making a collection.

Basically, I like playing fast but I enjoy the precision of vinyl, taking the time to select the next track, to match it and fade it in.
