Yayra jazz band is based in Gent. We form a brotherhood of believers sharing the blessings bestowed on us through our music. Jazz, blues, afro. Our own songs.

Bio

Yara band brings jazz and blues with an African feel. Yayra is a brotherhood with the same vision, to bless others spiritually with music. Yayra means "Blessing". They mix blues and jazz with arfrobeat but besides that play slow ballads also. Based in Ghent.

Evert Debusschere; Piano, Guitar and vocal.

Prince Appiah: Drum and Percussion

Arne Nuyts; Bass

Prince Clottey: Sax and Vocals

Jean Duhurwe Gregoire: Drum and Percussion

Yingda Dong: Percussion , backing vocal.

The band is formed through benifit concerts for the project CDACR, an upcoming center for development through artistic and creative research, based in Ghana. www.cdacr.ml . And keeps on playing togheter.
