Yakhchal is a Farsi name for an ancient Persian cooler with a domed shape that resembles a sacred temple. Yakhchal is also three-piece instrumental post-rock band from Brussels.

With bass, guitar and drums, the band creates songs made of melancholic atmospheres and melodies, repetitive build-ups of psychedelic loops and effects which evolve in explosive riffs.

Their second EP "Asterism" was recorded in January 2019 at Noise Music Factory studio by Colin Delloye of We Stood Like Kings. The art cover of the album was designed by Niccolo Masini.

Yakhchal are Davide (drums), Paolo (bass) and Emanuele (guitar), three Italians based in Brussels, between Ixelles and Saint Gilles.
