WOLV is a five-piece occult metal band from Zottegem, Belgium. Blending the dark intensity of doom and stoner with the melodic depth of rock, WOLV crafts a dark sound that is both heavy and hypnotic — a reflection of the world’s chaos and beauty intertwined. Their songs move like waves: slow, deliberate, and devastating when they break.

Formed from years of shared musical history, WOLV was never born out of a grand plan, but out of connection. Each member had walked their own path through the underground — punk, crust, metal, blues — before reuniting with the same restless urge to create something honest. WOLV slowly evolved into a deeply personal project that would become Endgame, their debut full-length album, released in 2025.

Endgame captures WOLV’s essence: emotionally charged and raw. It explores the fragile relationship between humanity and nature — the arrogance, the destruction, and the inevitable reckoning. The wolf — inspired by the tragic death of Naya, the first wild wolf to be observed in Flanders, Belgium, in over a century — stands as both witness and avenger, a symbol of nature’s primal force rising against human greed and lust for dominance.

Despite the dark undertone, WOLV brings music that sticks. Through nine powerful tracks, Endgame shifts between crushing heaviness and haunting calm. Long, hypnotic riffs give way to melodic passages that breathe, while Lisa’s warm and soulful voice ties it all together.

Garg is the creative force behind the band, writing all songs and lyrics and shaping the overall vision of WOLV’s sound. His ideas provide the foundation upon which the rest of the band builds, giving the music its unique combination of raw energy and atmospheric depth.

Recorded live at Dunk!Studios in Zottegem, Endgame retains the visceral energy of a band breathing and creating together. It’s a true DIY release — fully self-produced and released independently — a testament to WOLV’s refusal to compromise.
