Bio

Since the mid-nineties, music has taken a prominent place in my life. It really became a hobby to listen and gather as many music possible, starting with this simular genre, with a big preference for Trance and House music.

Since then I had a dream to play music myself as a DJ, but this remained a dream up until 2006, when I went to first DJ-school in the Benelux ( http://www.djmisssmile.nl ). During one day, DJ Miss Smile has learned me the basics of DJ-mixing and beat mixing. On that moment, I have bought my own turning tables and started to practice.

I have done the following perfomances: _ 01/05/2012: open air performance I Love May in Brussels in between live performances and as the evening act; _ 01/05/2011: open air performance in Brussels I Love May in Brussels during the whole day; _ since 2006 untill 2010: some birthdayparties and parties in Lido Leuven

In 2012, I have followed an additional training in the same DJ School to learn how to use Logic, to begin making some own music, intros, remixes and so on.

I also started to use iMovie to make my own Videomixes and have been concentrating on those projects since then, making movies for friends and more professional for designer.

Nowadays, as I have a fulltime job, it’s quite a challenge to combine all of those hobbies, but I wouldn’t want it any other way, because I really enjoy making those audio and videomixes, and in a lot of different genres. Those include Trance, EDM, Dance, Pop, Club, House, R&B, 80’s & 90’s classics, and any other genre I really think is good for a party.

It’s nice to combine all of these genres, but I can also only concentrate on one genre, like I have proven in some of my mixtapes available online.

Steve Wauters aka DJ Castor is born in May 1981, lives at Brussel and has a nice and playfull personality. He’s trilangual, speaking Dutch, English and French.
