Uncle Jay, real name Yannick Roekens, son of great guitar player & music composer Robert Roekens (Bob Rocking - The Silhouets), is born & living in Ostend.

At the age of 8 he used to play the syntheziser, followed by the drums at the age of 12 to find out at the age of 15 that electronic music was his passion and then bought his first DJ-Gear.

Born with the melody/instrumental DNA from his father & highly influenced by electronic music at the beginning of the 90's from his older sister, in the year 2000 Uncle Jay made his first moves into the DJ-world & has since been mixing & experimenting with different sub-genres into electronic music, especially House, Trance & Retro.

The melody & uplifting character of Trance however, caused him to grow much to a Trance DJ, which todays in Belgium are few.
