Tragic Eyes is a solo project by Wendel Berckmans. He writes pop music with a dreamy touch and strong vintage influences from the ‘60s and ‘70s.

His journey began in 2017 with the song Tragic Eyes and its accompanying animated music video, leading to his debut record A Brand New Day. In 2020, Wendel released his second album Apocalypse, where he gradually developed the psychedelic pop sound that would later define his music.

After the radio success of the single Goodbye Emily, a new album, Beyond the Foothills of Reality, was released in 2023, marking his full dive into psychedelia. A year later, The Great and Powerful Intergalactic Mushroom Man followed, a conceptual LP that channels the spirit of the ‘70s, blending psychedelic prog-rock, ballads, rock anthems, and playful interludes.

In 2025, Wendel took a bold step back from psychedelia with Only Dreaming, marking a shift towards a more intimate, nostalgia-driven sound, inspired by American folk music.
