We are, The Misanthropic Danceband Will Play Their Greatest Hits When All The Loners of The World Unite! and we play whatever the fuck we like, but mostly doom.

Slow, hard and relentless. Ready to give your ears, eyes and noses the kicking they deserve.

There are 3 people in the band, call it a classic power trio :

We have all build experience in other bands, like Abracadavre, Tarmak, Göödhead, Kermit’s Mistake, The Jesus Disease, The Föhns, De Pekdeskers, The Morning After, ....

The first notes were played somewhere in the winter of 2010 as a side project, a way to explore the deeper caves of heavy music. We rehearsed irregularly above a metal factory in Bissegem. And did some small gigs. It was not until we were forced to find another space for rehearsals, which took quite a long time, that the project became a full time band for the three of us. New songs were made and recorded in the beginning of 2012, resulting in the double Ep Downtown Sloth City (1 & 2). We started doing more shows, trying to avoid the “stay-local” trap. We did a few very cool shows in and around Lille, where we met some very enthusiastic people along the way .We’ve also been traveling to Antwerp, Ghent, Ieper, Maastricht... Looking for new people to convince everywhere around. The plan is to keep doing shows, write new material and do some new recordings for a vinyl release.

Our musical influences-spectrum is very wide. Makes sense, since we all have our different background in listening and playing music. The most common influences come from Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus & Motörhead.
