Tears of Colossus, a Belgian metalcore band from Ghent, consists of Laurent Longeval (vocals & guitar, ex-Shogun), Nico Regelbrugge (drums, ex-Shogun) Paul Leimbach (guitar, Kerbeross) and Johannes "Jelly" Rogiers ( bass, Kerbeross).

After Shogun went on an indefinite hiatus and the band members chose to go on different musical routes, it became very clear that metalcore was what Laurent and Nico came back to. Inspired by bands like Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, Lamb of God... new music began to take shape. Laurent already knew Paul and Jelly from their other band, Kerbeross, and saw them as the perfect fit to complete this new metalcore band. Slowly but surely they took their place in the band on not only a playing, but also on a songwriting level. They took time to write a record's worth of material and are dilligently practicing it to bring it to you live.

Topics within their songs vary from introspection and self growth, to more politically engaged topics, to just plain anger. There is always a hint of positivity, a light at the end of the tunnel, if you will, even if the message conveys an expression of suffering.
