Lyrics collected from personal experiences, melodies composed in intimate spaces, and years of musical introspection finally found their expression in Sweet Umami. In 2017, this six-piece indie rock band emerged from the depths of creative exploration, pushing the boundaries of their sound and captivating audiences with their unique blend of genres. With a collective background encompassing indie, funk, grunge, and dream pop, Sweet Umami weaves these diverse influences together, creating a sound that is truly their own.

In the summer of 2022, Sweet Umami made their mark on the music scene with the release of their debut singles, "Lipstick Annie" and "Love on the Run." These pop-infused tracks showcased the band's knack for crafting infectious hooks and memorable melodies, swiftly capturing the attention of fans and critics alike.

Building upon their initial success, Sweet Umami unveiled their EP, "Laundronaut," in November 2022. The EP featured their popular singles as well as three additional songs: "Treeguard," "Peaceful House," and "Chanel." These tracks ventured into experimental territories, incorporating elements from their diverse musical backgrounds, resulting in a truly unique and captivating sound.

The band released three singles in the summer of 23 and is planning on a bigger release in '24. Our latest single release of "Golden Seat" even includes a fully cgi animated music video.
