From the guts, swinging between laughter & tears, Sura's music tells intimate stories. They merge sounds from their peoples (wandering diasporic Jews from Easter Europe & North Africa), & their deep love for jazz, blues, soul & slam in an inclusive, powerful & peculiar singer-songwriter style.

Born in Brussels of a Belgian mother & an American from the USA father, Sura by that has always been walking through oceans and continents. Being a wanderer by birth, and by culture and history, beyond their belgian & united states papers, their origins are mixed from Eastern European & North African Jews. Being an active & full time musician in Las Lloronas (upcoming brussels-based trio), Sura comes out of the confinement with an urge to share songs that were so abundant that their band could not keep up. For their solo project Sura presents themselves more than ever as a Jewish & Queer non-binary creature, this being the place from which their music is birthed & is most authentic at the moment.
