Suicide Sue are an indie rock’n’roll band formed in Brussels, Belgium, in 2019 by Ben D’Agresta (vocals and guitar) and Giuseppe Ferrara (lead guitar). The band makes original songs with a touch of blues and psychedelic rock. Their style could very much be defined as the bitterness of bourbon that meets your palate.

Suicide Sue stand out from the rest of the music industry thanks to their unique style which favours strong guitars and deep melancholic lyrics. On stage, the duo is joined by Thomas Dimmers on drums (Fefeye, Calligrafferz, BBUNG, etc.) and Gabriel Policardo on bass guitar (Ankhor, Sneaky Lime, Mama Bishop, etc.).

On 21 April 2022, Suicide Sue released their debut EP, Oxytocin—a self-produced vinyl featuring five original tracks. The EP was recorded by Gaethan Dehoux (BRNS, Témé Tan, Alaska Goldrush, Mofo Party Plan, etc.) between June and October 2021 in his studio in Brussels.

On 10 November 2023, the band releases their second EP, Naked & Blue, The Unplugged Story, an acoustic live session featuring four original tracks. Recorded by Benjamin Scoyez at the SAE Institute (Brussels) and mastered by Adrien Schockert, the session is also entirely filmed by a video team. Part live performance, part documentary and part fantasy short, Naked & Blue traces the evolution of a love story that goes adrift.

On May 9, the band is set to release their first album, Chiaroscuro. With singles Something In My Shoe (out Feb. 28) and Long Teeth, Black Lips (out Apr. 4), Suicide Sue have shown they have a lot up their sleeves for this new record: a more orchestrated sound with a brand-new overall look inspired by Brussels’ Art Nouveau and Italian movies from the 70’s. However, they have maintained their distinctive style, capturing the same bittersweet melancholia that defines their music.
