S u f f o c a t i n g M i n d s (SFMD) is a musical formation from Liège/Luik, born in 2007, and mainly influenced by different electronic, pop-rock and even industrial sounds. SFMD send out contradictory but complementary feelings: strength and weakness, energy and bitterness, doubts and firmness, or nostalgia and hope. Their first album, “ In a different Life”, has been released at the end of 2012. It has allowed them to play in some belgian festivals with Front 242 for example, but in France and in Germany too. This positive momentum has allowed them to be broadcast on English Radios and to take part in remixes, approved by Puggy, RMS or James. Then, from 2015 and with this wealth of experience, SFMD has put in at Francofolies de Spa, a recognized belgian festival where they enjoyed a complete success in 2015 and 2017. They also participated in 2017 in W -Festival and in Synthetic Snow Festival in Moscow, where they were elected “ Revelation of the festival“. In the same year, they finally released their second album, called “ Second Life”, with a new eponym clip, now available on YouTube, followed in 2018 by “ Should I Look Above“. Most recently, SFMD came back with a new piece: “ Run Free” was released after a long trip in the USA in 2019. A walk trough Utah and a concert at Sundance Festival ended the trip on a high note. But 2019 has only begun: Suffocating Minds rocked the place at ECU Festival Paris during april. Despite of 2020 difficulties, the band has managed to release their new single "Darling" in august!
