STUFF. was founded in the caves of Ghents’ most renowned grooveclub, White Cat, the afterparty spot where local artists and obscure-music lovers hang.

Originally known as the “Highlander Invites”-sessions, young, local drumpirate Lander Gyselinck collected a pool of sinister musical masterminds to discover new frontiers of “groovedom” through live, dance-able improvisations. Soon STUFF.’s nocturnal adventures started becoming a renowned groove & sound ritual in Ghent, the holy first thursday of the month wasn’t to be missed. STUFF. is a 5-part blizzard of synthwalls, beats as riffles, dark basslines, tasty turntables and what not. Their music has the fickleness of Jazz but doesn’t require a key of understanding. It is grasping, dance-able and full of references to contemporary electronic dance music, 70? soul, 90? hiphop, and past, present & future beat. The organic flow of a STUFF.concert reminds of a bashing spacy djset, remixing acapella’s of Beastie Boys, BIG… into live grooves influenced by Clark, Dorian Concept, Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke.
