Steve Leon & The Acccusations zijn een indie twang band uit Antwerpen. Een jaar na de release van hun debuut EP “Louche” stelt de Antwerpse band hun eerste album voor met de passende titel “Borrowed time bonanza”.

Indie songwriting, verpakt in country en folk arrangementen, compleet met viool, mandoline en huilende pedal steel guitar. Deze plaat toont duidelijk hun liefde voor Amerikaanse roots muziek, terwijl ze tegelijk trouw blijven aan hun achtergrond en de muzikale opvoeding die ze opdeden door in lokale punkbands te spelen. De resulterende sound maakt een goede kans om fans van bands als Wilco, Bright Eyes, The Mountain Goats of The Long Ryders te bekoren.

Alle tracks zijn rechtstreeks op 16 track analoge tape opgenomen en presenteren de band op de meest eerlijke mogelijke manier. Met deze werkwijze omarmen Steven Leon & The Accusations de menselijkheid en bijgevolg imperfectie in tijden van AI gegeneerde muziek. Het album is ge-engineerd en geproduced door Steve zelf in zijn Hoboken Hi-Fi studio en gemasterd door Bob Macc in Subvertcentral.

“Borrowed time bonanza” kwam uit op 8 November 2024 op vinyl and alle streaming services via het Duitse label Off Label Records, met distributie van Broken Silence en Sonic Rendezvous.
