Bio
Becoming 40 is a big part of the storytelling for Steve Jonson’s debut full album ‘Tram 4’.
When he receives a diagnosis of 2 polyps on one side of his vocal cord at the end of 2017, his musical direction was made: no more singing (rather screaming) for you, man!
After the first operation around Christmas time (‘silent nights’ indeed), he got bored and decided to power up this FA-06 keyboard to make some recordings. These first recordings clearly guided Steve to an instrumental universe stacked with strings, brass (horns!) and guitars.
He made the commitment to keep writing until April the 1st of 2018 (not joking, otherwise he still was writing) and worked from there on to finish the 20 some rough ideas.
Tram 4 is a collection of musical ideas from the heart, for the love of film music, mixed with daily immersions of drama in puberty which a father has to endure.
Kick the little brats in bed, put on the headphones at night, close your eyes and gently slide to the dark side of Steve Jonson’s heart.
