ABOUT STEFFI

Steffi is a pianist, singer-songwriter, and performer from New York. At 15, using ballad records as her guide, Steffi taught herself how to sing. Her drive to further understand music led her to piano studies at 16. Two years later, having learned two classical pieces, she auditioned as a music performance major with concentration on classical piano and was accepted with full scholarship. Immersed in musical, vocal and performance lessons, she taught herself songwriting. Steffi applied her classical music training and her love of poetry to write songs while keeping in mind emotional intent that she learned from singing. "My goal," says Steffi, "is to create something powerful and honest." Soon after graduating college, Steffi pursued audio engineering. Passion for musical artistry inspired her to acquire a diverse and versatile approach to sound and the musical process. With fluency in both creative and technical sides of music, she can communicate across various musical and artistic spectra within and outside the studio. Steffi, however, is a singer-songwriter at heart, and the emotional aspect of music is first and foremost in her musical performances. While she was an audio student, Steffi met Yannick Crémer, a fellow musician, composer and audio engineer. Together, they collaborated on Steffi's self-titled EP, "Steffi Paxon." Shaped by the melodic and rhythmic dynamism of vocals and classically influenced piano, this five-song EP delivers pop, funk and soul driven by power vocals and meaningful lyrics. ABOUT YANNICK Yannick is a 27 year-old Belgian composer and sound engineer. He started taking music lessons at the age of 10, and soon after, he learned to play the guitar. He performed various genres of music, including funk, rock and hip hop, and was heavily involved in bands. His broad musical experience not only shaped him as a musician, but also inspired him to compose. In 2010, Yannick wrote the theme for the famous French YouTube show Joueur du Grenier, which marked the beginning of his composing career. He now composes for numerous web series, such as: Testeur Alpha, Bibi 300, and Ejayremy. He composes soundtracks for short films as well.

In Brussels, Yannick graduated with a Masters Degree in Communications. Then he continued his studies internationally. In June 2014, while studying audio engineering in New York City, he met his collaborator and fellow musician, Steffi.
