Authentic chamber music for violin and piano. That’s what S-plus has to offer.

This duo is specialised in performing classical music on historical instruments. Nevertheless their repertoire has a very broad range, going from early classical to contemporary music. Flanked by colleague musicians, S-plus also brings music for larger ensembles.

Ann Cnop, violin

Ann obtains her diploma in 2004 of Master in Music, option violin, with high distinction with Elisa Kawaguti at the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven (Belgium). In june 2008, she finishes her studies of baroque violin at the Brussels Royal Conservatory with Sigiswald and Sara Kuijken with high distinction. At the moment, she works with different ensembles such as La Petite Bande (Sigiswald Kuijken), Il Fondamento (Paul Dombrecht), Les Agrèmens (Guy Van Waas), Les Muffatti (Peter Vanheyghen) and Bach Concentus (Ewald Demeyere).

Veerle Pollet, piano, pianoforte

Veerle plays her first notes at the age of six. At the academy of music « M. Van De Moortel » in Brussels, she studies piano and guitar. After high school she attended the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven (Belgium) with Jan Vermeulen and Johan Lybeert.

In 2004 she obtained her Master in Music, maxima cum laude and in 2006 she received her Master in Chamber Music. During her education she attended Master classes with Jan Michiels, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynde and André De Groote and took lessons with Roel Dieltiens and Christel Kessels for chamber music. Recently she finished her 3rd master specifically in pianoforte.

Veerle teaches piano and chamber music at the academies of Berchem-Sainte-Agatha and Jette, where she's also an accompanist.
