Solid is a new band with a big sound. Solid formed while preparing for the gig of a lifetime. Lead singer Brian Lynch, who is the husband of former tennis player Kim Clijsters, was asked to do a tribute song for her at her last match before she retired. The event was called the “Thank You Games”. It was held in the one and only Sportpaleis in Antwerp. Brian once saw lead guitarist Bjorn Vangompel, Bassist Bram Verstraten, and drummer Dries Verstraten in the “dungeon studio”, as we call it, jamming many years ago. Remembering how tough that jam session was, Brian asked Bjorn, Bram, and Dries to help him make this tribute song with him, and the rest is history.

After practicing a few months together for the “Kim’s Thank You Games”, the chemistry started to show and the friendship started to grow. After playing in such a gig as the Sportpaleis, they realized they wanted to continue on and write an album together. So it began! Band meetings started once a week, and songs were being written every rehearsal. After a few months of collaboration, Solid is working on their first album, which is now in pre-production. The goal is to make music that hits the deeper side of everyone. No matter who you are, you have experienced all the emotions of life. We try to touch those emotions through our music and lyrics.
