Before becoming Sami the Ripou, he used to be the bass player for the punk band Irony, with whom he played and toured all over Europe for four years. During this period, he was already producing rap for himself and continued to do so after leaving the band in 2012.

Interested in the trap scene, that had a small circle in Brussels, lead him to become a permanent MC for the Triple Westside Trappist parties. While working as an MC, he recorded a song with Belgian rapper Convok, which would later feature in "Wonderland".

In August 2015, he released his debut project "Wonderland", influenced by the american modern raw trap scene. The project was well received by the audience, and in only three days reached the top five list of the most listened in Hauteculture.
