(Internationale biografie:) If Science Fiction, History & Fantasy were a music genre, Sagittarius V would be its composer. Born from the imagination of Meise (just a few miles north of Brussels) based composer Sasja Vanderveken, the Sagittarius V universe tells the story of the last hope of Atlantis - a time-travelling Atlantic Emperor (as personified by the Belgian), who has survived the great disaster and has now returned to try and reconstruct the golden age of Atlantis.

Telling stories through the art of music in the form of concept albums, the listener is taken to strange worlds and thrown into the action much like the books and comics he used to read as a kid. Each new album represents the next adventure, a new setting, and features a distinct style and theme with a mix of eclectic influences ranging from electronic beats to more traditional forms of music while moving between dark and light atmospheres.

Heavily influenced by the nostalgia of 80's soundtracks and the stories & aesthetics of Epic movies and video games, A solo journey (headphone etc) is comparable to reading a book while the Sagittarius V live experience (Live) with its Live Instrumentation feels more like going to see a Hollywood Blockbuster.

Having been mentored by long term Incubus manager Steve Rennie, he has quietly been gathering international attention and racking up millions of views on youtube under different monnikers.

With his latest endeavour "Welcome to the Space Age" - a six track mini-album featuring a vocal performance from recent Eska Award (Poland) winning singer Giang Pham, and utilizing his strengths on piano, Sagittarius V aims to plant his flag firmly in his native Belgian homesoil and beyond.

Vanderveken achieved platinum status after contributing music for rap superstar Future's RIAA certified platinum single "Stick Talk" on his breakout Billboard n1 album DS2. (Famously quoted by olympian Michael Phelps at the 2016 MTV VMAs)

He is also known for his many collaborations in video games, short films and TV & Youtube ad campaigns for well known brands such as Allianz and has had music featured alongside international motivational speaker Tony Robbins in a charity campaign trailer for Children Against Domestic Violence.
