q'S a L i v a

Brazilian folk + groove + electronics

q'S a L i v a is a Brazilian ensemble that mix folkloric rhythms with electric guitars, synthesisers, realtime loops and electronic beats.

The project was born in 2005 and had a short duration due to the musician's geographic distances.

The release of the one and only album, 'Dela', was followed by a summer tour in Belgium and Holland, performing in festivals such as 'Leffinge Leure' (Leffinge/Be) and 'Supernatural' (Utrecht/Ne) and venues such as 'Paradiso' (Amsterdam/Ne) among many other smaller concerts.

After a total of 4 months in Europe, the members settled in different places (Barcelona, Belgium and São Paulo), bringing the project to a resting point.

Now, in the summer of 2014, they will be reunited for a one-month tour in Belgium during the World Cup.

At this very moment, new songs are being made on distance exchanges, which will lead to a new repertoire for the tour. The first single will be soon available.

The original formation is Pablo Casella (guitars, percussion and vocals), Ligia Kamada (percussion and vocals) and Pipo Pegoraro (guitar, bass, beats and vocals).

For this new encounter, they will be joined by one more brazilian percussionist and the Belgium guest Tom Callens (sax, flute and keys/synths).

One thing is certain: q'S a L i v a will bring the core of the Brazilian vibes, embraced by deep beats and edge sounds, resulting on a cathartic experience.
