Since the 90's F.G. fell in love with experimental and lo-fi music after he discovered the tapes of Daniel Johnston and the first releases of Beck. Under his first alter ego The Ordinary Seaman, he spent more than a decade tape-recording his primitive sound experiments and lyrics about life and youthful love.

Years later he decided to change his name to Philippe Guislain and started to write in Dutch, his native language, in order to fully express his poetic side.

After 'The Only River' in 2020, 'Ochtenddirectie' in 2021, he released his third and in his own words most adult album 'The Introvert' on cd and streaming
