P A L O X takes you on a journey into the subconscious, into a realm where the silence between notes resonates powerfully. Equally intense and quiescent, their music is one that seems withdrawn from time. Hans Ramaekers (guitar) and Dimitri Degreef (guitar) form the core of the band, often joined on stage or in the studio by Jens Similox-Tohon (bass, double bass) and Hans Frison (drums). What they play can be described as cinematic, melodic instrumentals with room for improvisation. When they conjure their pulsating musical universe on stage, it is like a salve for the soul.

P A L O X was founded around 2012 when Hans Ramaekers (The Sapiens) and Dimitri Degreef (Circle, Larsson) embarked on a joint musical path. They spent a few years creating their own musical microcosmos, influenced by nostalgia, imagination and among other things the music of Bill Frisell, Blake Mills, Julian Lage, Jakob Bro, Miles Davis and ADHD.

P A L O X can innovatively perform in a range of ensembles: from duo to quartet, and beyond. They have performed at venues such as CC De Bogaard and the Pit Festival, and listeners have been transformed by the warmth of their captivating melodies and rhythms in bespoke living room sessions.
