Out of Cash started somewhere in 2011. Arnd covered some Cash songs during a break of his former band, when it seemed singing like Johnny suited him a little. Roel, who worked with Arnd, convinced him to try a gig with about a dozen of Cash hits. Roel bought himself an electronic double bass and wanted to try it out. They found a good guitarist in Arnd's old band. Tim was used to shredding guitar solo's, but found the guitar pickin' ways amusing too. Roel also played in another band, so their drummer came along for the first two gigs. But after that Frank the Butcher auditioned for the part. After a few spontaneous shows, they agreed that they didn't want to be a "tribute band". Because nobody can do it better then Johnny Cash himself! That's why they call themselves a Johnny Cash "cover band". They play the songs with love and respect for the Man in Black, but still in their own way. Rhythms and notes may vary, but they try to bring that same vibe. Like the Great JR Cash could every time!
