Opus Nocturnales was formed anno bastardi 1997 by Lord Kur (Later called Sekiaku), Corvus Nocturnales, Lord Amon, Cassiël & Vleder. Shortly after that, Lesley-Ann Poppe joined the band. They started rehearsing below the surface in the outskirts of Antwerp. Some time later Cassiël left the band to fight other battles and got replaced by Churchmasturbator. Lord Amon & Vleder left after a while too. They recruited ManoM and some time after that also MorphiuS (later called Skald MorphiuS). Not long after MorphiuS had joint the Cult he introduced an old Brother in Arms Sorath (both served in In de Schaduw), to enforce the band with keys again. After years of battle, Several members left the horde to concentrate on other campaigns & thus this seemed the end of the Opus Nocturnales cult. After more than 4 years Corvus Nocturnales wanted to start a new campaign against christianity and asked ex-members Sekiaku (Lord Kur) and Skald MorphiuS to join forces again to resurrect the "Opus-hordes". They found a new guitar player in Grimnir & started to rehearse, still in search for a drummer. Than Opus recruited Cassiël again who was very eager to rejoin his old allies again, in their Nobel Quest to rid the world of Monotheism. Shortly after, they record another demo "Opus Inferna Nocturna".(2005) Early 2006, their number is reduced to four members, as Grimnir leaves the band. From then on Opus Nocturnales is a four-piece horde. Somewhere early 2012, Sekiaku leaves Opus Nocturnales. In November 2012, Opus finds a replacement for Sekiaku as Lord Nemeon joins their cause. Be prepared for a new relaise in the near future !
