NOORD is a three-piece metal band from Antwerp, Belgium, known for pushing the boundaries through immersive soundscapes and conceptual depth. Since their formation in 2017, the band has continuously evolved, exploring new sonic territories that challenge genre conventions.

In their formative years, NOORD focused exclusively on live performances, choosing not to release recorded material while refining their identity and creative vision. This period culminated in the release of their debut EP in 2020.

Just as the band prepared to take their music to a wider audience, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted live music globally. Refusing to lose momentum, they released the standalone single DEFIANCE, marking a bold new chapter in their evolution.

Following the return of live shows, NOORD began crafting their debut full-length album, CRYPTOSIS, released in 2023. The album explores themes of societal unrest, personal struggle, and existential reflection—offering a gripping narrative that resonated with listeners and expanded their reach.

NOORD has taken their powerful live performances beyond Belgium, with gigs across Europe including Mallorca, France, and Poland—bringing their intense, atmospheric sound to an ever-growing international audience.

In March 2025, the band released The Grand Design, their latest EP. This release presents a matured, focused sound paired with thought-provoking themes.

In August 2025 they released their brand new song MENDACIOUS HERETIC.
