Bio

Alternative psychedelic shoegaze rock · For fans of Mogwai, Slowdive, Pink Floyd

Neptune Bloom is a psychedelic shoegaze-like band from Diest crafting dense, atmospheric music built around layered guitars, slow-burning dynamics, and a deep commitment to immersive emotions. Their music sits at the intersection of Slowdive's dreamy sound, Mogwai's post-rock intensity, and the expansive, cosmic sensibility of Pink Floyd. Unhurried, absorbing, and carefully constructed.

The band came first. The friendship grew out of it. Over six years of writing and playing together, the members of Neptune Bloom have built something that goes well beyond a shared musical project: a bond forged entirely through the process of making music together. It's that intimacy, developed in rehearsal rooms and recording sessions that gives their sound its particular cohesion and depth.

Their debut EP Silver Skin was the first music they put out into the world and gained them some early attention. They played it live at Het Depot, Muziekgieterij, Trix, festivals such as AFF, Gentse Feesten and in support shows for i.a. Eosine, The Howl & The Hum and GIFT. They are now at work on their second EP, continuing to develop their writing while refining what makes their approach distinct.

For Neptune Bloom, the music and the relationship behind it are one and the same — each shaped by the other, and neither fully separable from it.
