SHY is the solo project of Belgian artist Simon Eeraerts, whose music blends raw emotion with energy and honesty. Growing up with his father’s record collection, from Bryan Adams to Rammstein, music became a way to connect and express early on. Later influences like Green Day, Eminem, YUNGBLUD, NF, and mgk brought in raw edge and attitude, but even artists like Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes played a big part in his search for a musical identity, showing him the power of vulnerability and melody.

Before launching SHY, Simon was part of the boyband BOBBY, a chapter that, while valuable, left him feeling disconnected from his true creative voice. Stepping away from that experience gave him the space to rediscover himself, both musically and personally. SHY was born from that need: a solo project shaped by his journey as an autistic artist learning to drop the mask and make music on his own terms.

His sound moves freely between pop, punk, rap, acoustic, and rock, depending on how he’s feeling and what he wants to create. His debut single SHY GUY marked a bold first step, paired with a video shot at Ghent’s Eskimofabriek. His latest track, NEVER GONNA LIE, is a raw anthem about identity, self-acceptance, and letting go of the pressure to hide who you are.

For Simon, SHY isn’t just a project, it’s a home for honesty, emotion, and music that says what words sometimes can’t.
