Having started around late 2011, I started out with playing Dubstep as 'Mindshock' but eventually made a switch to Drum & Bass and its big variety of sub-genres, being influenced by the likes of Noisia, Black Sun Empire, Audio, Phace, Icicle, Break, Rockwell, Enei, ... Starting slowly while learning a lot along the way, I began playing at some local events near my hometown, trying to prove my worth while steadily rising through the ranks, before somewhat breaking through in 2014 and landing bookings on bigger events, including a few smaller Belgian festivals with headliners like Black Sun Empire, Audio (heheh, shared decks with 2/3 of my biggest influences in my early years, GOALS!), Jade, Mindscape, SpectraSoul, Misanthrop, Teddy Killerz, etc ...

Being part of the Generator crew alongside fellow DJ's La Junta, together we also promote a fresh concept trying to bring the non-usual names to our little country, this way we managed to bring Signs and Disprove to Belgian soil for the first time (MethLab Label Launch, w/ Silent Witness also being on the line-up).

My sets are straight-to-the-point and rock-solid, chucking tune after tune, combo after combo, carefully chosen each track to bring a story.

As of this year I'm trying to re-invent myself and my style. As Mindshock, most people know me for my energetic, fast-paced, no bullshit (a.k.a. no 10 rewinds per set like a lot of D&B DJ's like to do) way of playing tunes, sticking to mainly Neurofunk, even though I've been playing a wider spectrum of the D&B genre for a while now.

But getting rid of the stigma that I only play the harder stuff has proven to be quite difficult, so I've started playing as 'Kamui' as well, this time only focusing on everything that doesn't fit into Neuro, dancefloor and the like. Kamui is intended to bring out the other side of me that I can rarely do as Mindshock (i.e. not having the right audience), showcasing a proper selection of deep, liquid, techy, rolling tunes.
