Maria Iskariot is the saint of mischief. It's Flemish female punk with a pleasurable portion of pseudo-philosophical teenage angst. Hopeful hopelessness in noisy verse, chorus, verse. Love for the unloved, figs after Easter, but above all a bow to the sinners.

The songs are about growing up, not being able to distinguish good from bad, being confused by yourself and the temporary conditions of our time. About wanting things different but not knowing how - eventually realising you too are a well-meaning jerk.

We have recorded our first album which we will release later this year.
