MAC LISTER, Sébastien Mbala, his origins are rooted in Cameroon but he’s been living in Brussels for 5 years now. His older brother who lived in Brussels in the 80’s inspired him. When his brother came back to Cameroon, he brought with him the sound of hip hop. Hip Hop was a true lining emotionally wise, especially after the dead of his parents and the whole that event left behind. Hip Hop inspired him to become strong, to keep him out of trouble and away from drugs. Hip Hop gave him hope.

His music is a true journey, with a focal on Hip Hop. It’s a mix of rap, trap, afro, pop, dance soul.. But truly he doesn’t like to label his music. Clearly it’s a journey. His great inspirations are Kendrick Lamar, Young Thug, migos, Akon, Cesaria, Brenda Fasi, Rosa Parks, martin Luther King, Patrick Lumumba, Karl Lagerfeld, Sakodie…

He writes his music with his heart and with his feelings. His lyrics are based on the reality, love, violence, and everyday life reality. Music is the mirror of society.
