Born and raised in the Patagonian forests, an intermittent migrant for almost a decade in cosmopolitan Brussels, LuzAlta brings us a sound collection of various genres, inviting us to discover rhythms and cultures from all over the world. She carefully prepares her sets from an intersectional point of view, including engaged artist in the fields identity diversity and decolonialism. She enjoys playing in places where people celebrate the differences and where everyone feels safe and respected. Luz Alta has also actively collaborated with Belgian artists and collectives that keep Belgian's underground scene alive such as Rebel Up, Giraffes et Pinguins and Tropical Djipsies (female dj collective). She recently organized a series of sessions called "Spazio Invertido" where she invited dissident artists from several cities of Patagonia to play, to do performances and to create new networks. She also prepared radio broadcasts for Kioskradio and Radio PANIK in Brussels and Radio Alas at her hometown.
