From its inception in 2011 until late 2014, Loop Alley presented itself as an innovative 'looping' duo. From 2015 onwards, Loop Alley is a five-piece band with a special and unique Live feauture: the total sound comes together in producer/multi-instrumentalist Nathan’s DJ/Mixing set on stage where he mixes and adds EDM effects. A perfect crossover between a DJ and live set, between pop music and House music. Singer Libbie multiplies herself through the use of effects pedals and loopers, turning her voice into an extra instrument.

Founders of the band Nathan Drohm and singer Libbie travelled in 2011 to Spain where their lounge tracks find an appreciative audience, and for three years, Loop Alley toured the Costa Brava and Ibiza every summer. In 2013, they played several clubs in London while writing new material. After three years of 'lounging', there were itching to make slightly more robust music, and to do so as performances with multiple musicians. At the same time they had the desire to release their tracks in their home port of the Netherlands. Tracks inspired by the different clubs they have played during the last few years. The creative and free sounds from London, the steady beats and rock from Barcelona, and the electronic influences from party island Ibiza. The end result is an EP chock full of energetic sounds, guitar riffs reminiscent of Simple Minds and The Police, melancholy lyrics about everyday struggles accompanied by hopeful melodies and sounds.

In September 2015, the single 'You & I' from the EP 'Shimmering Sky' has been released. The debut is a warm and powerful mix of eighties guitar parts, anthem house-like synths, fragmentary deep house sounds, repetitive melodies with clear, unique vocals, and energetic drums! Moloko meets Faithless in the eighties.

November 2015 sees the addition to Loop Alley of drummer Elmer Bergstra (also a gear freak), bassist and former fellow student Ruud Vleij and guitarist Allard Gosens. The musicians, who are also friends, share the same love for music from the eighties and nineties.

Libbie has recently done a collab with DJ Julian Cross on the track 'Forget me Nots'
