Okima is the alter ego of a molecular and cellular biologist who has combined his scientific expertise with his musical knowledge. In Okima’s world, science and sound are not separate entities but complementary forces. He draws the best aspects of the analog and digital realms, whether with the raw energy of electro, the dark pulse of EBM, the avant-garde post-punk and wave, or ever-evolving ambient. Rooted in curiosity, Okima invites listeners to discover a world where science and sound intertwine.
