Singer songwriter Mark "lenny" Irons, started playing drums and guitar since his teens and brought into the project his photographic eye, picked from his work in the film industry.

His musical tastes brought him into the worlds of Bukka white, Brian Wilson and Brian Eno as well as guitar players John Frusciante and Chris Whitley, music writers Daniel Lanois and Josh Homme, Trent Reznor, Tom Waits and... many many more. Mark is like a kid in a toy shop when it comes to music. His curiosity leads him, unattended, all over the place. Music aside, Mark is an actor (Groenten uit Balen - Witse by Frank van Mechelen amongst others) and a jack of all trades, dabbling in anything he can get his hands into.

With LAZY MOON, Mark has found the right balance as a song writer and the right place for his voice; a blend of soft spoken, intimate texts built on layers of harmonies. The melodies weave in and out of the songs and set the mood on which to start storytelling by the fire on a cold winter night.

François Garny, bass player and songwriter brings in the necessary groove and energy. He is a sponge, soaking up ideas as he moves from one place to another and distills them into his craft.

François has found a very different world in LAZY MOON than the previous ones he played in. writing for this band has been a new challenge and a opportunity to explore his ability at playing instruments.

The band started online activities mid-October 2013 with a website and a video clip - Waiting on a friend. Shortly after, they released “the lazy moon”, an 5 track EP, available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and other musical platforms since.

The album is foreseen for end January. In the meantime, they have developed a two formatted show: an intimate duo with surprising instruments and renditions of their songs as well as a full band show with all the complex layers.
