Kjudos
Semi-acoustic folkpop/rock
Bio
After obtaining a first prize in classical violin, following jazz guitar courses and learning bass, piano, keyboards and drums on his own, Sandro Vanden Berghe (BE) played in several bands for many years.
Due to medical problems, he lost every intrest in music, untill 2011, when he started composing folkpop/rock songs. His friend and guitarist, Brian Rust (UK), joined him in his project.
After a few live performances as an acoustic duo, named Kjudos, they were encouraged towards the studio, where they created a fuller electric-acoustic style, with an emphasis on vocal harmonies.
The arrangements are reminiscent of the early Crosby, Stills & Nash sound, the Beatles and the symphonic/melodious rock of the 70s/80s ( Yes, Genesis, ELO, ...).
After months of recording, mixing and mastering, mainly at their home studio, they released their debut album, "Waits & Changes" .
They are currently working on a second album, which is due to be released later this year
The album "Waits & Changes" can be heard and is available as a digital download at http://kjudos.bandcamp.com/
