Kingray is a power trio from Antwerp and Ghent, delivering a dynamic blend of indie rock with voice, guitar, bass, and drums. Known for their driving rhythms and harmonious melodies, Kingray brings a raw, energetic sound to the stage, drawing inspiration from 60s rock, punk, blues, and various other genres.

The band’s story began in 2016-2017 with singer-songwriter Ron Rieck’s solo album, Kingray - Pixie and Fairytales. In January 2016, drummer Gilles Dhaenens and bassist/guitarist Daniel Guerrero joined, transforming the solo project into a full band. Together, they’ve not only reimagined tracks from the album but have also created new songs, all brought to life in their powerful trio setup. Kingray’s sound is a stylistic chameleon, shifting from psychedelic rock to 80s pop and alternative indie to modern influences.
