Summer 2002, Belgium, Keep It Deep started to play their crazy psychedelic prog-music. Some consider the shell of the band as heavy-math-rock, other as jazz-metal, a shell containing a lot of different music styles that may seem impossible to blend: jazz, ska, 70’s prog, blues, salsa, hardcore, post-rock… Despite this very wide range of influences, they managed to find their own sound and style, composing epic pieces in a way bands like King Crimson or Mr Bungle could have done it.

After a long break devoted to band members’ side projects (Yew, Rudy Mitcholl & the Rolanders, Firewall), the four musicians got back together with a new project: to collect the music they had written in nearly 10 years, and record their debut LP. Released in November 2012, “Hatching” is a 7 tracks, one hour-long album, available through their website: www.keepitdeep.be. But this is merely a start, new songs have already emerged out of their twisted brains for your listening pleasure!
