ACID

Guitarist Demon, singer Kate de Lombaert and bassist T-Bone started the band as Precious Page. In 1980 they renamed the band ACID. Shortly thereafter, Anvill joined as drummer and Dizzy Lizzy joined the band as the second guitarist. Together they recorded a first single "Hell on Wheels / Hooked on Metal". This was released in July 1982 through Roadrunner Records. The first self-titled album followed in January 1983. The second album "Maniac" came out the same year, followed by the third album "Engine Beast" in 1985. Unfortunately the band broke up later that year. During their career, they shared the stage with acts such as Black Sabbath, Manowar, Loudness, Venom and Motörhead.

Kate's ACID

In 2019, ACID reformed once again. After a number of lineup changes and disagreements with one original member, the band continues to play as Kate’s ACID, determined to carry on ACID’s legacy with renewed energy and a fresh lineup.

The first version of the renewed lineup featured Kate on vocals, Gilles “Jippen” Reuse and Andreas Stieglitz on guitars, Mathieu Trobec on bass and Bastiaan Andriessen on drums. This formation played a series of shows all across Europe as part of the “Reload Tour", helping to re-establish the band’s presence on live stages.

As the project grew, a second version of the lineup was formed to ensure continuity and flexibility for future live performances. This new formation now leads the way into the upcoming Hellbender era, with Kate joined by Ashley “Ash” Ysewyn on drums, Ruben Rosseel and Sean RG on guitars and Dorian Massage on bass.

Together, they bring the new album "Hellbender" to the stage during the European “Hellbentour 2026", continuing the legacy while forging a powerful new chapter in ACID’s history.
