Word is that a small boy was found by his adoptive parents in the dump in a neighbourhood in Guatemala city. As the kid did not have a nose, they took him to "Don Mauro", the butcher on the corner, that put a piece of sausage on his face, after which nobody saw the difference. He grew up among the Jocoles. A childhood full of guitars, parties and songs by Pedro Infante, Los angeles Negros, Atahualpa Yupanky, Pedrito Fernández and many more. It was already back then,that he dreamed of being a famous singer someday, but as the fears and complexes grow over the years, he kept his dreams in a corner under the bed and tried to play normal for many years. He worked a lot in an office, so he could study at night. At a certain moment, somewhere in between, he heard a song by Facundo Cabral. He immediately became stung by the mosquito of freedom. Tired of his coat and tie, he decided to stop cutting his beard and hair and go out to the streets to shout "I AM JUNIO JOCOL" the cardboard singer!
