Jo Goes Hunting is the band of multi-instrumentalist Jimmi Jo Hueting with members hailing both from Belgium and the Netherlands.

Besides being active as a drummer, Jimmi Jo has been developing his own advantgardistic popmusic in his bedroom since 2005. Together with his drums, analog synthesizers, guitars and drum machines he creates his own world of sound, often consisting out of deep analog bass synths, spacy guitars, rhythmic variations and floating vocal harmony’s recorded on tape machine.

Now in 2015, after being graduated cum laude from his Conservatory master studies, Jimmi plays his music live with his buddy’s Thierry Castel on synths, Sjoerd Krul on guitar, Daniel Eskens on bass and Hanne Peetermans on background vocals. Jimmi plays drums and sings. Valuing the live aspect, Jo Goes Hunting never sounds the same on stage. The musicians give their personal twist to the songs.

The Act Of Leaving, the first single by Jo Goes Hunting, was premiered on the 15th of July on Noisey (NL). Things are moving rather quickly after the release. The single became a viral hit on Spotify in the Unites States and has received a lot of airplay. On the 25th of September the EP ‘GLOW’ was be released on Grand Douche Records. Additionally, a music video - complementing the new single ‘Run Away’ – was carefully crafted by Amsterdam based artist Shai Langen. The video has received a lot of attention, as it was selected as a Staff Pick over at Vimeo.
