VI.BE

My life as a DJ started in 2002. Well, you couldn’t really call it DJ’ing back then, cause all I really did was play one song after the other on my computer. However, the first night I did this, I already knew I wanted to go through with it and become a real DJ. The thrill I got from playing music was addicting.

So I decided to delve further into music, with the help of my best friend (nickname bro), who taught me the first steps of mixing music. I took me a while to get the hang of it, but I was determined to succeed.

A little while later, I met another DJ (called Shadow666) who shared the same passion for music as I did, and for over 3 years we played together at many different parties.

2003 Things really started going after my first full year of being a DJ, and because I shared the decks with Cyrix and heard a lot of Techno, I felt like specialising a bit more into this specific genre.

2004 I bought my first techno records, which were also my first vinyl records (before, I only used CD’s). Along with DJ shadow666, I tried to get new ones at least every two weeks. 2005 Now I could really call myself an allround DJ. I was mixing everything together, which I did for a good 4 years; but the urge to focus on one specific kind of music kept following me. Eventually, in 2009 it happened; as I was listening to and mixing House more and more often, I knew this was it. Since then, I’ve been focusing mostly on House music, without letting my ability to be an allround DJ go to waste of course.

I shared decks with the following DJ’s: Sven Lanvin, Cyrix, Voxter, Topradio(Thomas, wouter de vries), Dimi (jim), Trish, Iso, T-Love, Axe, Thomas More,...
