VI.BE

Ivan started sometime around 2014 when two brothers Mathijs Willems (Drums) and Michel Willems (Guitar) met with their next-door neighbor Fredje Boden (Bass) to form a new doom metal band in Mopertingen, Bilzen. A ton of beer, a shitload of weed and a couple of years later the band won the Bilzen based battle-of-the-bands ‘Pop a Cast’ in 2017. Shortly thereafter Fredje left the band to focus on other matters (including his own band Why Bother). In need of a new bass player, Ivan was joined by fellow stoner, beer enthusiast and nephew Lukas Wijnen who was recruited just in time for the recording of their first official release: a split EP with Hückaf.
