‘Is that all there is’ is an audiovisual solo project by Jacques Maes (1984), strongly focusing on the theme of time. Each track hopes to take the listener on a unique journey, that balances on the border between melancholy and nostalgia. The music aims to achieve this through a blend of carefully selected sounds, being alternative, yet always accessible and easing to the mind.

With eight tracks in line to grow a debut album, ‘Is that all there is’ will try to guide the listener through a various set of moods and emotions. Darker songs get counterweighted by more brighter ones and one track will even try to move the feet, because as Peggy Lee has previously put it so nicely: “Is that all there is? If that’s all there is my friends, then let’s keep dancing”.
